Carr and Carr Attorneys have been serving Oklahoma for over 45 years.
On Giving Tuesday, we like to highlight a few organizations in the area that are easy to give back to and have a great cause.
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is leading the fight against hunger in 53 counties in central and western Oklahoma and envisions a state where everyone, regardless of circumstance, has access to nutritious food.
Founded in 1980, the Regional Food Bank is the state’s largest domestic hunger-relief 501(c)(3) nonprofit that distributes food through a network of community-based partner agencies and schools.
The majority of people served by the Regional Food Bank are chronically hungry children, seniors living on fixed incomes and hardworking families struggling to make ends meet. The Regional Food Bank is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s network of food banks.

Homeless Alliance OKC
The Homeless Alliance works to end long-term homelessness in Oklahoma City by building the capacity of the community through collaboration with other agencies, identifying and filling gaps in homeless services, bringing nationally-recognized best practices to the community, and working to build a system that is more efficient, rational, and caring. The Homeless Alliance has a variety of in-kind donation needs listed below.
Oklahoma winters can be harsh. We are in need of new blankets, coats size large and up, gloves, hats, hand warmers, chap stick, and lotion. These items will be distributed to guests visiting our Day Shelter, Curbside Chronicle vendors, and to people who are unsheltered during street outreach.
Donations can be dropped-off Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. We recommend visiting during non-peak hours of 9 to 11 or 1 to 3. Donations can also be shipped to 1724 N.W. 4th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73106.

Oklahoma Food Bank
Located in Tulsa, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma distributes food and other grocery items to 350 Partner Agencies in eastern Oklahoma, including food pantries, emergency shelters, soup kitchens, senior citizen centers and after-school programs.
In Fiscal Year 2019, the Food Bank distributed more than 28.9 million pounds of food throughout the 24 counties of eastern Oklahoma.
Donating food or non-food items to the Food Bank helps people in need. Your donation will move quickly to reach a maximum number of Oklahomans. In addition to the humanitarian appeal of donating, there are many sound business reason to give as well.

During this holiday season, let us celebrate the things we have and give back where we can. Carr and Carr Attorneys at Law is no stranger to charity drives around the Holidays.
In the past, we have been involved in Fleet Feet’s Turkey Trot to raise money and shoes for the homeless at Tulsa Day Center, Red Coyote’s Global Day of Running – to raise money and shoes for the Homeless Alliance in OKC, and KJRH’s Food 2 Families – to raise food for Oklahoma food banks.
We encourage our attorneys and team members to participate in charities and issues that matter to them and to the firm. And we encourage every Oklahoman to do the same.
